I am preparing for my next adventure, and this time the journey begins in Denver, Colorado. I will be setting up a home base in the Mile High City while exploring some of the most incredible landscapes Colorado has to offer, including Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak and the legendary Red Rocks amphitheater.

While this trip will be nowhere near as physically demanding as my last adventure, it will bring me back into the mountains and once again challenge me at altitude. I am hoping to spend plenty of time on the trails, take in some unforgettable views and, depending on the weather and how my body adjusts, possibly reach the summit of a couple of Colorado’s iconic 14,000-foot peaks.

Of course, this adventure will be about more than hiking and mountain scenery. I will also be exploring some of Denver’s more colorful attractions, including the immersive and wonderfully strange world of Meow Wolf, a day at the Denver Zoo and an evening at the one and only Casa Bonita. There may also be a concert or two, some great food and plenty of unexpected discoveries along the way.
