Day One : Denver

Well, after some pretty crazy travel delays including a connecting flight to Atlanta that ended up with me flying back to Orlando - I finally made it out to Denver. It seems like me and travel never go smoothly, but I did get a TSA pat down so it’s not a total loss.

Day one looked a little different than I had planned. Upon landing, I discovered that my brother was in town for the Great American Beer Week competition - so of course that meant ditching any previous plans and making sure we spent time together.

We started the day off by going to Sam’s No. 3 for breakfast - I was able to get the a breakfast burrito with the Denver famous green chili sauce. After that, we rented a couple scooters and took a trip around the city and then happened across a parade for Indigenous People’s Day at City Park.

My brother had to make his way back home, so after a late lunch, we parted ways until we see each other again. It was definitely a great surprise to be able to see him and spend time together.

After he left, I made my way over to Meow Wolf Convergence Station where I spent nearly 3 hours walking around in the most amazing immersive art experience I have ever been to.

I’m even having trouble trying to figure out how to make a video about it because it was just so overwhelming. I am really glad I did that - that was for me today.

This trip is off to a good start. Tomorrow is going to be an incredible day - going to spend the day in Denver and top the evening off with a really special event.
